Social responsibility is part of the bridge to the future, and IMI is prepared to participate. We believe community involvement builds strong communities and strong businesses. Embracing a ‘go Local’ approach, IMI directly supports local communities by hiring craftsmen local to our projects and supporting local suppliers. We also offer valuable internships to our nearby youth. Proud of the communities in which we live and work, we believe every dollar can make a difference.
IMI also encourages volunteer opportunities for our employees to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Our sponsorships, charitable giving and volunteering reflect our company commitment to our communities and the core values that guide us.
IMI is a sustaining donator of funds or a proud supporter of the following:
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Help ensure no family receives a bill from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for anything. Learn why you should support the lifesaving mission of St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visit stjude.org/why-support-st-jude to donate.
Shriners Hospitals for Children®
Since 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children has shared Everyday Miracles with more than 1.3 million children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate. All care is provided regardless of the families’ ability to pay. Visit shrinershospitalsforchildren.org to donate.
PBS and member stations are America’s largest classroom, the nation’s largest stage for the arts and a trusted window to the world. In addition, PBS’s educational media helps prepare children for success in school and opens up the world to them in an age-appropriate way.
We invite you to find out more about America’s largest public media enterprise. Visit pbs.org to get involved.
The “go LOCAL” initiative is about spending money locally. This effort is simply designed to ask local businesses commit to better our community for today and the future. By supporting local businesses, IMI has kept $1.2 million dollars in Oconee County in the last year alone. Visit oconeechamber.org/golocal-initiative to learn about the benefits.
